The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional, DC to DC adaptive 3-stage charger with integrated Bluetooth, known in the market as a charging booster and/or battery-to-battery (B2B) charger.

For use in dual battery systems in vehicles or boats where the (smart) alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The device can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can be controlled remotely via a remote on/off switch. It has an engine running detection mechanism.

The Orion-Tr Smart Charger can be used in 12V or 24V systems and is suitable for both lead and lithium batteries. Models up to 400W are available and an unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel to increase output power.

Suitable for high temperatures up to 55°C with a full power rating up to 40°C.

Suitable for Bluetooth Smart
Monitoring, changing settings and updating the charger with newly available software functions can be done with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other device.

Adaptive 3-stage charging algorithm: constant current - constant voltage - maintenance

  • With lead batteries it is important that the recording time is kept short during shallow discharges to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the constant voltage duration is automatically extended to ensure that the battery is fully charged.
  • For lithium batteries, the recording time is fixed, the default setting is 2 hours.
  • Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote on/off switch
A remote-controlled on/off switch or a relay contact can be connected to the two-pin plug.
Alternatively, the H (right) connection of the two-pin plug can be connected to a battery positive terminal or the L (left) connection of the two-pin plug can be connected to the battery negative terminal (or, for example, to the bodywork
of a vehicle).

All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.

An unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel.

Overtemperature protection

At high ambient temperatures the output current is reduced.
